Coalway and Holmes County Eggfest Raise More Than $13,000 for Patient Care and Services at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare

Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare is grateful to Coalway and the Holmes County Eggfest for their support of its mission. Coalway and the Holmes County Eggfest recently raised more than $13,000 for patient care and services for the not-for-profit, community-based organization. 

The Homes County Eggfest was held May 21-22 at the Mt. Hope Event Center. During the two-day event, dozens of individuals from around the community used their Big Green Egg grills, a Coalway product, in a grilling competition, Chuckwagon BBQ cookoff, and various demonstrations. The weekend included a benefit buffet dining option and raffle Proceeds were given to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. 

“We greatly appreciate Coalway and the Holmes County Eggfest for their generosity and support of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare,” said Kurt Holmes, executive director of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. “Support from events like this enable us to continue providing superior patient care and services to our community.” 

The mission of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare is to celebrate the lives of those we have the privilege of serving by providing superior care and superior services to each patient and family. Donations and gifts from the community support patient services, including complementary and innovative therapies that are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance, and grief support services for the entire community.  

“Coalway has been a longtime supporter of Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare,” said Katherine Ritchie, development director at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. “We are truly grateful that the weekend of events continued to benefit Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare’s programs, patients and families.” 

Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, a not-for-profit organization established in 1982, is an affiliate of Ohio’s Hospice that serves communities in Wayne, Holmes, Ashland and Medina counties. It embodies the spirit of neighbors caring for neighbors with a commitment to relieve suffering, ease fears, and provide companionship along life’s last journey. Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare addresses patient and family needs wherever the patient calls home. Services also include access to the Stanley C. and Flo K. Gault Inpatient Pavilion, providing short-term patient care to manage acute symptoms, adjust medications, or stabilize patient condition.
